Where to Buy PTD-DBM in the UK

Unlike GHK-Cu or even AHK-Cu, PTD-DBM hasn't had decades to become a common cosmetic ingredient. It's a very recent peptide, and that means there are remarkably few products containing it anywhere, particularly in the UK. This guide covers where to buy a properly disclosed PTD-DBM serum, and the formulation detail behind it.

Where PTD-DBM Is Available in the UK

PTD-DBM's commercial supply is thinner than any of the copper peptides covered elsewhere on this site. The foundational research programme, tracing from an osteoporosis discovery through wound healing to the hair-specific application, was published across 2015 to 2017, and most of the cosmetic industry hasn't caught up with it. At the time of writing, we're aware of at least one other brand, US-based, producing a PTD-DBM serum at 0.001%, a tenth of AmpleLab's concentration. What PTD-DBM Is

PTD-DBM is a synthetic peptide developed at Yonsei University, designed to competitively block CXXC5, a protein that suppresses Wnt/beta-catenin signalling in hair follicles. It's a mechanistically distinct approach from the androgen-pathway and vascular mechanisms addressed by finasteride, dutasteride, and minoxidil, targeting a molecular checkpoint inside the follicle cell itself.

Formulation

PTD-DBM is formulated at 0.01% (100mcg/mL), stated explicitly on the product page. As a large fusion peptide, it doesn't cross the skin barrier unassisted; the formula uses Methyl Vanillate, a small molecule with its own independent Wnt/beta-catenin research history, as a penetration enhancer rather than DMSO, which is the more common approach elsewhere in this compound class. The carrier is a glycol-free aqueous solution, the same carrier architecture used across the AmpleLab range. No propylene glycol or butylene glycol, and no DMSO, a solvent commonly used elsewhere to help large peptides penetrate skin but one that carries its own non-selective penetration-enhancing properties that complicate use alongside other topicals or microneedling.
