AmpleLab's PTD-DBM serum is formulated at 0.01%, paired with 0.2% Methyl Vanillate to support delivery, in a glycol-free hyaluronic acid base, made in the UK. Clearly dosed and built for targeted use on the hair and scalp, with no unnecessary carriers or fillers.
PTD-DBM is a novel peptide that targets the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, working against CXXC5, a regulator found at higher levels in balding areas of the human scalp. Research links it to accelerated hair regrowth in animal models, positioning it among a new generation of peptides working directly on the follicle's own growth signalling.

PTD-DBM is a novel peptide that targets the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, the signalling system that activates dormant hair follicle stem cells and triggers entry into the hair's active growth phase.
Research (Lee et al., 2017) found CXXC5, a protein shown in studies to actively suppress the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, present at higher levels in balding areas of the human scalp. PTD-DBM works directly against it, and topical application in animal models has been linked to accelerated hair regrowth.
Its broader research profile positions PTD-DBM among a new generation of peptides working directly on the follicle's own growth signalling, distinct from the hormonal pathways older treatments rely on.

Formulated to a higher standard.
AmpleLab's serum is the only UK-formulated PTD-DBM topical product on the market. Most others available are formulated overseas and state little more than a name on the label. AmpleLab formulates to a stated concentration, full formula disclosed.
Methyl Vanillate, a naturally derived penetration enhancer with its own Wnt/beta-catenin activity, is included at 0.2%, the concentration used in a completed human hair trial (Tosti et al., 2016).

01
Active Concentration
Formulated at a stated 0.01% (100μg/mL), roughly ten times the concentration disclosed by other PTD-DBM products on the market.
02
Methyl Vanillate, two roles in one ingredient
Included at 0.2% to help deliver PTD-DBM through the scalp. At the same concentration, it has also shown promising activity of its own in a completed human hair trial.
03
No DMSO Required
PTD stands for Protein Transduction Domain, helping the peptide cross the cell membrane. A high concentration combined with Methyl Vanillate, our formula is built for a real path through the scalp barrier without the need for harsh penetration enhancers like DMSO.

Full formula disclosed
Every ingredient and its function listed in full below, rather than folded into an undisclosed "proprietary blend."
Distilled Water
AquaSolvent base. Carrier for all active and functional ingredients.
Glycerin
GlycerinHumectant. Draws moisture to the skin and improves spreadability.
Phenoxyethanol
PhenoxyethanolPrimary preservative. Maintains product stability and microbial safety.
Hyaluronic Acid
Sodium HyaluronateHigh molecular weight hydrating agent. Supports skin feel and barrier function.
Methyl Vanillate
Methyl VanillatePenetration enhancer. Supports delivery of PTD-DBM through the outer layers of the scalp. Some research also links it to mild Wnt/beta-catenin pathway activity.
Ethylhexylglycerin
EthylhexylglycerinPreservative booster and skin conditioner. Broadens antimicrobial coverage including fungal protection.
PTD-DBM · 0.01%
PTD-DBMActive ingredient. Studied for its role in Wnt/beta-catenin signalling, a pathway linked to hair follicle cycling and development. Research suggests PTD-DBM disrupts CXXC5, a regulator found to be upregulated in balding scalps.

How to Use
01
Part & Expose
Part the hair to expose the scalp in the target area. Apply directly to the skin, not the hair shaft.
02
Apply
Dispense 0.25mL using the graduated pipette and apply directly to the scalp. Massage in gently with fingertips to aid absorption.
03
Leave On
No rinsing required. Allow to absorb fully before styling. Use once daily.
